In The Know Leadership Series

The Power of PEPPER

Date: Tuesday, July 12, 2016
Time: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST

PEPPER stands for the Program for Evaluating Payment Patterns Electronic Report. PEPPER provides provider-specific Medicare data statistics for discharges/services vulnerable to improper payments. PEPPER can support an organization’s compliance efforts by identifying where it is an outlier for these risk areas. This data can help identify both potential overpayments as well as potential underpayments, risk areas from Medicare Part A billing. PEPPER Reports are confusing and constantly changing. Contractors conducting audits such as MAC, RAC, and ZPIC are working in collaboration with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) to identify fraud, abuse and waste. Plan now to participate in this session to evaluate your compliance and any potential vulnerability.
