Violent Intruder Planning and Response

Kendal and Johnson, Kendall and Johnson (JKJ) are proud to partner with The ALICE Training Institute to offer specialized training to ensure proper safety measures are taken to protect your residents and employees during an active shooter event.

Pendulum’s Top Ten Risk Control Recommendations for Senior Living Communities

Pendulum’s consultants conduct hundreds of on-site risk assessments at senior living communities each year. We will be reviewing the Top Ten recommendations made to help communities implement new risk-reduction strategies, and to improve defensibility.

Testimonials

"Attending the Active Shooter Training through JKJ University was time very well spent!  We have been developing our organizational policies around this topic and the information provided at this training was invaluable. The information was relevant and immediately applicable. We had really been struggling with how to do education and training at our senior living and healthcare facility. However, after hearing the speaker we now have a clear vision of how to implement our plan,  and I am convinced that drills are an integral part of the education for our employees and the seniors who reside in our community."
Beth Cwiklinski , Vice President of Residential Health Services, Meadowood Senior Living

“Very informative and “easy to receive” – this very difficult topic can be hard to talk about.  However, it is extremely important and necessary to prepare for.  Having a proactive, informative response to the shooter such as the ALICE program is something I think would really work.”
Jim Mangol, Senior Director of Fitness & Wellness, Meadowood Senior Living

" Violent Intruder seminar was very eye opening.  The presenter was dynamic in his style and gave me quite a bit to think about when implementing our policies and procedures.  If there was one major take away it was to be transparent rather than use codes to alert people to a situation."
Megan Nessell, LNHA - Chief Human Resources, Cadbury Senior Lifestyles
