Assistant Administrator

The role of the Assistant Administrator, which we call a Coach is to be the primary is to mentor all staff as they grow learn, understand, and accept their new roles in the small house model.  The goal of the coach is to assist individuals and groups to achieve their highest level of competence and potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting for STNA’s – this includes interviewing & orientation.
  • Provides training materials to staff and team.
  • Maintains staffing schedule for all STNA’s, including managing call-offs
  • Manages attendance and turnover reports.
  • Completes staff evaluation and counseling process when appropriate.
  • Fully understands the philosophy of the small house.
  • Obtains a daily verbal report from each house.
  • Discusses observations/concerns with appropriate coordinator.
  • Attends monthly house team meetings.
  • Supports Self Empowered Work Team and works with team to enhance customer service levels.
  • Provides coaching and direction to staff as needed.
  • Monitors the house conditions by making regular visits throughout the day.
  • Observes interpersonal relationships in the house including elder/elder, staff/elder, staff/staff.
  • Inputs and reviews weekly scorecards with house and leadership.
  • Reviews weekly menus.
  • Collaborates in the development of new processes, forms, and systems.
  • Collaboratively identifies issues and develops actions plans for groups and individuals.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned.

An applicant should have an interest in caring for the quality of life needs of the elders, a willingness to work as a member of the team. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum of one year of leadership/management experience.
  • Must possess a current OH Licensed Nursing Home Administrator license or is eligible to sit for exam within 90 days.
