PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (SUMMARY) 

Reporting to the Vice President of Clinical Quality, this position will initially work with a Consultant to finalize the training plan and co-lead the Clinical Point Click Care (PCC) Training.  Clinical Team Leader will then independently be responsible for training and implementing PCC throughout the Lifestyle Communities and Small House Neighborhoods to meet the implementation timeline, and will follow-up to insure successful maintenance across Otterbein. 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

Education and Qualifications:

  • At least LPN required; RN highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Long Term Care nursing; Otterbein experience a strong plus
  • Knowledge of MDS and documentation required, a plus
  • Possess solid understanding of applicable clinical federal and state laws, regulations
  • Must possess very strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Maintains confidentiality

Skills Required:

  • Above average skills in electronic medical records, i.e. entry, organization, reporting
  • Proficient in use of computer
  • Experience training or helping others learn how to enter data and use electronic medical records
  • Strong Communication skills (listening, verbal, written)
  • Ability to interact competently and professionally with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Working Conditions/Physical Demands Required: 

  • Professional appearance / business casual dress required.
  • Extensive statewide travel required including multiple overnights
  • Ability to work multiple shifts regularly during start-ups (most training will be on 1st shift)
  • Able to stand, stoop, bend, lift up to 35 lbs without assistance (average less than 10 lbs), stretch, kneel, walk, sit for long periods of time.
  • Extensive work on computer

PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS 

  • Point of contact for all training issues/needs related to Clinical Point-Click-Care
  • Lead trainer to train the clinical staff in all Lifestyle Communities and Neighborhoods on how to use the Clinical portion of Point-Click-Care software
  • initially will learn the training program through the PCC consultant and then will work independently to deliver the training
  • Key on-site leader at Go-live and for one to two weeks after to insure smooth implementation
  • Follow-up after Go-live to insure system is working and provide retraining as needed
  • Insure the implementation schedule is met or changes to the schedule communicated and approved timely
  • Assist in building the medical record with the Home Office Clinical team, as needed
