Accounts Receivable/Revenue Cycle Director 

Otterbein SeniorLife has an opening for a fulltime, non-exempt AR/Revenue Cycle Director.  This position will be located at our Home Office in Lebanon, OH and report to the CFO.

SUMMARY

The Corporate Accounts Receivable/Revenue Cycle Director will manage and lead the daily operations and strategic objectives of the Company’s revenue cycle through design, implementation, maintenance and management of all business functions and procedures relating to the billing, collection and reimbursement processes. 

Responsibilities:         

  • Oversee all accounts receivable practices, procedures, regulations and compliance as related to billing and collections for Long Term Care, Hospice and Home Health services. 
  • Provide billing and collections leadership for all skilled nursing facilities included but not limited to Private Pay, Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance, and Managed Care.  Preparation and submission of complete, accurate and timely billing including effective resolution and follow up on collections
  • Train, manage, and oversee Billing and Facility Staff to properly follow billing procedures and to understand policy changes as needed.
  • Work with Otterbein’s residents, Otterbein management and staff and billing partners with any issues that may arise.

Skills Required

  • Proven track record of management/leadership success.
  • Strong organizational and excellent customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and follow through on accounts.
  • Technically savvy with computer software programs – specifically Point Click Care.
                Ability to understand and troubleshoot computer software. 
                Ability to train end users on computer software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Seven or more years of demonstrated experience in a Skilled Nursing accounts receivable environment including billing Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance, Hospice and Private pay.  Experience in a multi-location environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of Point-Click-Care or other billing software.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Prior experience as an A/R Manager or Director in a skilled nursing facility required including supervisory and training experience.  At least one or more direct reports.
  • Prior experience with the Medicaid application process and assistance to applicants including attending any required meetings or hearings while providing excellent customer service to the applicant
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred with an emphasis on Accounting; however, relevant, documented experience in the field will be considered
