Chief Executive Officer 

Michigan Masonic Home, located in Alma, Michigan, is a highly regarded not‑for‑profit provider of senior services with a 125+ year legacy. Since its inception in 1891, the organization has embraced its vision to make a positive impact on the lives of those served, consistent with Masonic values. The commitment to providing innovative services and exceptional care has resulted in substantial growth, and today the Masonic Home family includes Masonic Pathways Continuing Care Retirement Community, which offers independent and assisted living, short‑stay rehabilitation, skilled nursing and memory care services to over 400 residents; Warwick Living Center Skilled Nursing Community; and Live Better At Home, an Information and Referral Call Center. The organization is at various stages of engagement for several new exciting business development projects. 

Accountable to the Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for implementing the policies and plans established by the Board of Trustees and for the leadership and total operation of Michigan Masonic Home and its affiliates. Demonstrating tolerance and flexibility with others, the CEO will work collaboratively and supportively with a dedicated, high functioning senior leadership team and staff. An open communicator, (s)he is adept at navigating interactions with multiple influences, including but not limited to members of the Masonic fraternity, residents, prospective residents, and the surrounding community. 

The ideal candidate for this position will have successful leadership experience within a high quality, resident-centered retirement and health care setting. (S)he will be able to craft and articulate Michigan Masonic Home’s vision, and create consensus among an outstanding leadership team and highly engaged resident population. An individual with demonstrated experience in diversifying an organization’s revenue base through new programs and/or community-based partnerships, the CEO will guide Michigan Masonic Home’s continued development as the provider and employer of choice. Additionally, (s)he will be an outstanding communicator who embraces open, honest, and transparent communication, treating others with tolerance and flexibility as s(he) navigates relationships with multiple influences. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or six to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (Master’s degree preferred) and a current Michigan nursing home administrator license or eligibility by reciprocity is required.
