About the Workshop
This comprehensive workshop offers a deep dive into how and why you should build a Green House community. Leaders from adopter organizations and strategic partners will explore the following cornerstones of developing Green House homes:
- Market Feasibility: protocols that take into account the unique features of the Green House model.
- Financial Feasibility: an examination of the key factors that enhance the viability of Green House homes based on the experiences of adopters.
- Architectural Design: the components necessary to achieve operational success, including implementation of the Green House core values of Real Home, Meaningful Life, and Empowered Staff.
- Construction Insights: costs, scheduling, and timelines.
- Financing: a panel of experts will discuss innovative and efficient financing structures, including tax-exempt bonds; HUD, direct bank, and USDA financing; and interim financing and seed capital.
- Operational Testimony: a Green House adopter who owns and operates five communities that encompass more than 370 Green House skilled care beds will offer his development and operational insights.
- Green House Education: an overview of start-up and ongoing education for Shahbazim (CNAs), Nurses and Guides before, during, and after opening.
You will also learn about the results of an independent, ten-month research project conducted by the University of North Carolina on the Green House model’s ability to mitigate COVID-19. In addition, you will see data that has resulted in an explosion of positive media coverage for Green House.
