Chief Executive Officer/Administrator

Ingham County Medical Care Facility on Dobie Road (“Dobie Road”) is a stunning 120-acre campus that serves as home to 236 residents. A US News and World Report Top Nursing Home since 2013, today the organization serves over 600 patients, residents, and community members through long-term care, short-term rehab, complex care, a PACE program, outpatient therapy, senior and staff wellness programs, a 24/7 fitness center, and a warm water therapy program to the community at large. Currently exploring a partnership to also bring affordable assisted living to the area, the organization continues to be very proud of its 176-year history of caring for our greatest generations. Over time the organization has undergone substantial development and growth in its efforts to remain innovative in providing the very best care to seniors.

Ingham County Medical Care Facility is seeking a full time Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/Administrator to provide executive leadership for the organization. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO/Administrator is responsible for the overall operation of Ingham County. In doing so, establishes short- and long-range goals, objectives, plans and policies subject to approval of the Board. The CEO/Administrator represents Ingham County to professional organizations, governmental agencies, other health care institutions, the financial community and other external publics.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a leadership style that is based on integrity, trust, and respect.  (S)he will have approximately ten years of management experience including responsibility for financial management, human resources management, organization design and administration, and nursing care services, including five years of management experience in a long-term care setting. (S)he will be skilled in strategic planning, operations, and leadership.  (S)he will develop and implement a management system that will enable the provision of a high level of care to the residents and meets or exceeds all regulatory requirements. (S)he will manage all areas of the Facility and ensure that Department Directors have the resources to consistently and uniformly deliver care and service. In addition, the finalist candidate will direct all administrative functions of Ingham County Medical Care Facility and represent the Facility to the Ingham County Board of Commissioners and the community in general. The finalist is preferred to have a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Services Administration, Public Administration, or closely related degree.
