Conference FAQs

Where is the 2019 conference located and when is it taking place?

The conference will be taking place at the Hilton Columbus at Easton on August 27-29, 2019. The address for the Hilton is 3900 Chagrin Drive, Columbus, OH 43219.

Where do I park and what are the parking costs?

There will be free parking at the Hilton.

How do I register for the event?

There will be two easy ways to register: by mail or online. More registration information will be available early July.

What is the appropriate attire?

We want you to be comfortable so you can enjoy your annual conference experience! Therefore, business casual dress is strongly encouraged during programming sessions. We suggest bringing a light sweater or jacket with you during the day as meeting rooms are air-conditioned. Comfortable and casual attire is appropriate for all of our evening events.

Does LeadingAge Ohio have a conference app?

Yes, we do! LeadingAge Ohio is working with Eventsential who has created a mobile conference app that’s available to virtually anyone with web browsing capabilities (smartphone, tablet, PC, etc.). This allows you to keep up-to-date with the conference details through your mobile devices! Visit our site here ahead of time, and check back often as we will have lots to update between now and the conference.

Will handouts be available?

The annual conference is paper‐lite for our education sessions. As we try to be as environmentally friendly as possible, LeadingAge Ohio consciously aims to reduce the amount of paper we use on handouts at all our events and conferences. Additionally, this increases the quality and timeliness of the resources provided through this learning experience as presenters can update their materials more rapidly than having to reprint handouts for attendees. Electronic program materials and handouts replace paper and can accessed online before, during and after the program.

Will I have internet access while at the conference?

Yes, there will be wireless internet access in the conference area. The access code for this secured wireless network will be included in your registration materials.

What are the CEU hours and how do I know if the conference is approved for the CE I need?

Participant will receive contact/clock hours for session(s) attended. Additional details regarding CEs will be posted to the website. Please check for updates.

Please contact Karen Lowe, Education and Special Projects Coordinator, at klowe@leadingageohio.org with any questions regarding CEs.

May I tweet, blog or use other social media outlets before, during and after the meeting to discuss topics announced at the meeting?

You can follow LeadingAge Ohio via Twitter @LeadingAgeOhio and we encourage the use of #LAO_AC19 for related posts. You can also follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/LeadingAgeOhio.

My question is not here! Who should I contact?
