Ohio Department of Aging, LeadingAge Ohio Launch Adult Day Website, Regional Education Events
LeadingAge Ohio is thrilled to announce the launch of AdultDayOhio.org, a comprehensive online resource developed through a partnership between the Ohio Department of Aging and LeadingAge Ohio. This initiative, accompanied by statewide education events, aims to shine a spotlight on one of healthcare’s best-kept secrets: adult day services (ADS).
Adult day services provide an affordable alternative to long-term care, empowering older adults to remain in their homes longer while offering critical support for caregivers. These services include person-centered activities, opportunities for life-enriching socialization, and respite for caregivers—helping families maintain balance and well-being. At AdultDayOhio.org, you'll find a wealth of information and resources for:
- Caregivers seeking options for their loved ones.
- Participants exploring engaging and supportive services.
- Providers looking to connect with their communities.
- Referral sources navigating ADS opportunities.
The site also features a directory of ADS providers in Ohio, making it easier than ever to find local services.
To further spread awareness, we are hosting free statewide education events in February and March.
