Call to Action! MOLST Needs Your Support!
Critical ACTION is Needed Today!
A critical VOTE regarding MOLST legislation will occur this Wednesday, (May 4). Some local community chapters are pushing hard to block this vote! Our efforts in the Senate for the MOLST is being challenged!
- The current DNR Protocol doesn’t allow for patient choice in the type of care they want! The MOLST allows for greater individual choice when a DNR is ordered!
- The MOLST reduces crisis by helping patients, families, and healthcare providers navigate the healthcare system at end-of-life. It provides more clarity around a one’s wishes and allows the individual to die in the setting of their choosing.
- The MOLST communicates a patient’s wishes, through portable medical orders for all health care settings including EMT, hospitals, institutional settings, community settings, and a patient’s home.
- SB 165 was developed by a strong statewide coalition, with input from health care providers, EMT and Fire Chiefs, attorneys, patient advocates, religious and pro-life organizations, to address how MOLST in Ohio can be a tool that honors wishes and respects human life.
