ODH Shares Top IJ Citations

The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) has shared data on the most recent Immediate Jeopardy (IJ) citations from the third quarter of this year. A summary of the data, which includes key areas and contributing factors, has been included. There were 33 IJ deficiencies; there were a total of four (4) IJ’s for CPR. Another significant finding this quarter included an IJ citation for a dish machine not meeting temperature.

Immediate jeopardy refers to those situations in which a provider’s noncompliance with one or more requirements of participation has caused, or is likely to cause, serious injury, harm, impairment or death to a resident. The scope and severity levels are also included within the summary.
