Medicaid Advisory Letter (MAL) 626 re “Diagnosis Code Reporting Requirements on All Claims” was posted on the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) website this week. As of April 1, 2019, all Ohio Medicaid claims and all adjustments submitted for previous paid claims, regardless of date of service, must include a valid diagnosis code to be accepted for processing. Please take the steps necessary to ensure that you are prepared to enter a diagnosis code on all Ohio Medicaid claims and adjustments beginning on April 1, 2019.
