Today, LeadingAge learned that HRSA sent out American Rescue Plan (ARPA) Rural payments to 96% of eligible providers. This payment is based off of claims data from 2019 and determined based on the volume and type of Medicare and Medicaid services provided to individuals who reside in rural areas. Those providers impacted should see deposits today, and will receive an email and a paper letter explaining the amounts received. If providers applied for any subsidiary TINs, it will include the breakdown of the amounts for each subsidiary. ARPA rural payments can only be used by those who received them.
