Director of Community Relations
Willow Brook Christian Communities is seeking a highly-qualified individual to be responsible for planning, development, and coordination of community and public relations for all entities of Willow Brook Christian Communities to promote awareness and positive image of the organization. The Director will encourage and promote full resident census in all areas of housing and healthcare offerings through well-planned and executed education and publicity efforts. This individual will also complete special organizational projects as directed by the Chief Executive Officer.
Some responsibilities of the position include preparing and implementing community relations budget, developing community/public relations campaigns, editor of Reflections newsletter and providing assistance in coordinating activities newsletters, brochure and informational material development, all advertising development and placement, copy writer, events planning, display development, community liaison and speaker/presenter, staff photographer, website/social media design and content development, sales assistance, fundraising, and special projects.
This vital position requires a Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications, or related field with three to five years of community relations and/or public relations leadership experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills required and sales experience is helpful. Must have experience in copy writing, developing promotional materials, and website/social media development. Must be proficient in producing advertisements, press releases, social media posts and experience with programs such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, WordPress, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Candidate must be skilled and comfortable with public speaking and delivering presentations. Must possess strong photography and photograph editing skills.
