Hospice audit activity is on the rise and the number one reason for loss of payment comes from technical denials. Learn from LeadingAge Ohio staff how to mitigate audit activity by having all aspects of necessary documentation in the patient’s record. From obtaining relevant clinical information prior to admission so hospice physicians can determine eligibility, to adequately documenting care provided in the discharge summary. All of the integral details of hospice documentation will be discussed along with the regulations that determine compliance. Substitution and Cancellation Policy: Substitutions, in writing, are welcome at no additional cost. Cancellations received by two calendar weeks prior to event date will be fully refunded. Cancellations received between 7 and 13 days prior to the event date will be refunded minus a $40 processing fee. No refunds will be issued 6 or fewer days prior to the event date.

Continuing Education Information

5.25 contact hours will be awarded upon successful completion.

Criteria for successful completion: Attendance at entire event. Credit awarded commensurate with participation, as allowed by professional board.
