Preparing Your Board for M&A Opportunities
In the current environment, many providers are faced with financial challenges and are looking to partner with others to ensure a vibrant future. While for-profit providers are well-positioned to step into these opportunities, with their stream-lined decision-making process, many not-for-profit organizations are not positioned to react when these opportunities arise.
During this session, we will explore steps management can take to move into a position of strength, whether or not future acquisitions or a sponsorship transition of your own ministry are being considered. Board alignment and Board education are crucial elements to ensure management and the Board are all looking through the same lens when exploring possibilities for the future direction of the organization, even if the answer is that the future of the ministry is best served in the hands of a different sponsor. We will also discuss proactive steps providers are taking, including Management-Board collaboration, to be at the table when mission-advancing opportunities are on the menu.
